The Graduate Architectural Technologist will be responsible for supporting an Arup Architecture team in delivering multi-discipline projects. The team you will join has a diverse portfolio from concept design and master planning right through to detailed design and construction delivery with a focus on projects in the Science, Industry & Technology sectors.  

Is this role right for you?  

We're looking for graduates who are currently pursuing a minimum degree qualification in Architectural Technology; A Level 7 or Level 8 degree (Bachelor’s or Honours Bachelor's or equivalent) in Architectural Technology or a related discipline. When applying please submit a portfolio.

  • Architectural Technology/ Construction Technology/ BIM/ Technical and Graphic Design
  • Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD, with familiarity in BIM (Building Information Modelling) workflows
  • Technical Design & Detailing: Produce precise working drawings, schedules and construction details under the guidance of senior architects or project leads.  
  • Regulatory Compliance: Apply knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, planning legislation, BC(A)R (Building Control Regulations) and Fire Safety/ Disability Access Certificates (FSC/ DAC). Assist in preparing planning applications, tender packages and on-site construction stage documentation.  
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, project managers and designers)
  • Core Skills: Good spatial awareness, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional Goals: Eagerness to learn in a studio environment and working toward professional registration (such as with the RIAI or CIAT).

  • Full working rights in the country of application  
  • No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role  
  • Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.

Eligibility  

We're able to consider candidates who require an employment permit to work in Ireland, where the role and offered salary meet the Irish Government's eligibility criteria (for example, under the Critical Skills or General Employment Permit schemes). All Employment Permits are granted at the discretion of the Deciding Officer with offers contingent to obtaining the correct immigration to work and reside in Ireland.
