The Opportunity

We are looking for a MEP BIM specialist to join our growing Building Services Engineering team in Milan (MEP Team). We are looking for a talented and motivated BIM Specialist to join our growing Building Services team (MEP).

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and innovative professional to accelerate the career growth and contributing to the delivery of cutting-edge building services projects. You will support our MEP designers and BIM professionals in the development and coordination of BIM models, as well as in the automation of the design workflow for a wide range of high-profile projects.   

 

As a BIM Specialist you will:

  • Work on BIM models for complex construction projects using software such as Revit
  • Model systems and elements according to the requirements of the BIM execution plan (Piano di Gestione Informativa pGI).
  • Transfer specialized disciplinary skills within the BIM model under the direction of the reference Engineer.
  • Self-check your work for compliance with modelling conventions, e.g. correct use of systems, application of correct (LODs/LOIN) etc. and company best practice.
  • Take ownership of the Information management and data extraction from BIM models.
  • Continuous monitoring and updating of BIM models based on project progress and changes requested by engineers.
  • Resolve day-to-day modelling and systems coordination issues.
  • Resolve clashes following the BIM coordination reports, with assistance of the relevant BIM Model Coordinator or Engineer where necessary.
  • Develop technical drawings for submission, analysis and documentation starting from BIM models.

 

Does this role inspire you? 

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:  

  • Excellent knowledge of Autodesk REVIT (MEP).
  • 1 to 5 years of professional experience into the design of MEP installations.
  • Knowledge of MEP parametric design.
  • Experience in creating REVIT families.
  • Knowledge of BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of Solibri/Naviswork and Dyanmo (preferred).
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team collaboration skills essential for team-based working of all levels.
  • To be keen to travel within the region (Europe).
