The Opportunity

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

As a BIM Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the digital delivery of major infrastructure projects across Arup globally.  Based in one of our European offices, you will work closely with project teams, BIM leaders and digital specialists around the world to help shape, implement and support the tools, standards and workflows that underpin successful infrastructure project delivery.

This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in civil engineering design, BIM, CAD management or digital delivery who enjoys helping project teams make better use of technology. Rather than providing purely technical support, you will work directly with engineers and BIM practitioners to improve project outcomes through the effective use of digital tools, platforms and processes.

Working across a diverse portfolio of transport and infrastructure projects, you will help drive efficiency, consistency and innovation while ensuring that digital solutions remain aligned with the practical needs of project delivery teams.

·         Design, implement and support BIM platforms, digital services and infrastructure design tools that enable the successful delivery of major Civil Infrastructure projects.

·         Work closely with BIM leaders, engineers and project teams to understand project requirements and develop effective digital delivery solutions.

·         Support and promote the use of infrastructure design software including Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and related civil engineering applications.

·         Support digital delivery and collaboration platforms including Autodesk Forma, ProjectWise and associated workflows.

·         Support infrastructure project teams across Arup's global business, collaborating with regional BIM leaders and technical specialists to promote best practice and drive consistent digital delivery.

·         Develop and maintain BIM standards, guidance and best practice for transport and infrastructure projects.

·         Deliver training, mentoring and technical support to project teams.

·         Troubleshoot BIM, CAD and digital delivery issues to ensure successful project execution.

·         Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes and technology adoption across the infrastructure portfolio.

Did you know: Our Digital Technology team are proud prior winners of the IT Team of the Year Award at the Chartered Institute of IT’s UK IT Industry Awards.

Is this role right for you?

·         Has significant experience in the delivery of transport, highways, rail, aviation, water, utilities or other major Civil Infrastructure projects.

·         Has strong knowledge of one or more Civil Infrastructure design applications, particularly Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and their application to project delivery.

·         Has experience implementing, managing or supporting BIM and digital delivery processes within a Civil Infrastructure environment.

·         Has experience working with digital delivery and collaboration platforms such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Forma and other connected data environments.

·         Has knowledge of BIM standards, information management and digital delivery within the infrastructure sector.
