The Opportunity
We are seeking a Bookkeeping Supervisor (2 Year Fixed Term Contract) to support the delivery of high-quality financial operations within our Global Shared Service Centre.
This role combines technical accounting expertise, team leadership and process improvement to ensure the integrity of financial reporting across multiple regions including UKIMEA, Americas and Europe.
Working closely with global stakeholders across Treasury, Tax, Payroll and International Mobility, you will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team, ensuring high performance and service delivery standards
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely completion
- Manage core bookkeeping activities including bank reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and cash management
- Maintain general ledger integrity and support intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and disposals
- Support tax, VAT, statutory reporting and audit requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder queries across global finance teams
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen financial controls
Is This Role Right for You?
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who brings a strong blend of technical capability, team leadership and customer focus. You will demonstrate:
- Progress towards (or completion of) a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience within a finance environment
Strong track record of working to tight monthly and year-end deadlines, with the ability to manage competing priorities - Experience in general ledger reconciliation, account ownership and transactional finance processes (journals, payments, cash allocation)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP finance systems such as Oracle, JDE or similar
- Exposure to working within a Finance Shared Service Centre environment
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong communication skills and a clear customer service focus
