As an Engineer in our Bridge, Civil, and Offshore Structures team, you will be designing and supporting construction of critical transportation, water, energy, and coastal infrastructure. The team is currently working on large span bridge crossings, architecturally significant pedestrian bridges, and underground stations and structures for various critical transportation and water projects in the Americas. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept design through construction, while providing a strong foundation for professional growth in structural and bridge engineering.

This position will be based out of our New York office.

The opportunity

While working with a highly intelligent and creative team to solve complex and nonconventional engineering problems, this role offers the following opportunities:

Work on novel, large scale, and signature bridge projects.

Work with other domestic and international offices with a diverse background, on domestic and overseas projects.

In addition to bridge design, be open to work on other civil infrastructure projects such as tunnels, underground structures, and other heavy civil structures.

Support the construction of civil infrastructure projects by participating in shop drawing and submittal reviews to ensure compliance with contract documents.

Analysis and design of complex structural systems and components using both engineering first-principles and/or structural analysis/design using industry standard software packages (including scripting, code writing).

Brainstorming, strategic thinking and creative problem solving for design of novel and nonconventional structural systems.

Interpret engineering conclusions, findings, and prepare formal design calculation packages and reports.

Collaborate with drafters, including drawing reviews, to produce high quality deliverables.

Is this role right for you?

Master's degree or higher in Structural Engineering is required.

0-2 years of experience in practice in bridge and/or heavy infrastructure concrete and steel design and engineering.

Interest in the design of bridges, non-building civil structures and civil infrastructure projects.

Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills and attitude essential for team-based working with colleagues having diverse background and geographies. 

Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam with a path towards obtaining P.E. licensure required.

Experience and interest with digital tools and coding.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

New York City Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York is $89,000 to $104,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of NYC will differ.
