Engineer

Engineer (Los Angeles, CA)

• Plan and execute subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs.

• Perform geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, embankments, retaining walls, excavations, and underground structures.

• Collaborate with structural, civil, and other engineers in the design and evaluation of building foundations, bridge foundations, and tunnels

• Perform numerical analysis using engineering software for seismic site response analyses, slopes, excavations, foundations, and underground structures.

• Utilize numerical modelling software such as PLAXIS-3D, LSDyna and FLAC.

• Evaluate and assess data from field instrumentation, including settlement, ground movement around excavations and load tests of piles and anchors, to calibrate predicted performance with actual performance.

• Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations.

• Assist with administrative duties and provide management support as assigned by sub-group leader.

• Assist with business development activities.

• Requires Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.

• Salary range: $96,470.00 - $113,100.00/year
