Engineer
Engineer (Los Angeles, CA)
Plan and execute subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs.
Perform geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, embankments, retaining walls, excavations, and underground structures.
Collaborate with structural, civil, and other engineers in the design and evaluation of building foundations, bridge foundations, and tunnels
Perform numerical analysis using engineering software for seismic site response analyses, slopes, excavations, foundations, and underground structures.
Utilize numerical modelling software such as PLAXIS-3D, LSDyna and FLAC.
Evaluate and assess data from field instrumentation, including settlement, ground movement around excavations and load tests of piles and anchors, to calibrate predicted performance with actual performance.
Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations.
Assist with administrative duties and provide management support as assigned by sub-group leader.
Assist with business development activities.
Requires Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.
- Salary range: $96,470.00 - $113,100.00/year
