The opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity to influence major investment decisions for the built environment, both in Ireland and globally. Due to growing demand, you will join a dynamic team with a strong pipeline of local, European, and international projects. As a Finance & Economics Consultant at Arup, you will:
Develop compelling economic and financial business cases, investment strategies, and financial models to provide a wide range of strategic advice to our clients.
Lead public sector business case appraisals and evaluations in line with key guidance such as the Irish Public Spending Code and Infrastructure Guidelines.
Deliver insightful economic research and high-quality analysis for both internal and external clients to inform strategic decision-making.
Provide expert due diligence and technical advisory services for clients on investment, acquisition, or lending decisions.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about using financial and economic analysis to shape sustainable investment in the built environment.
We also value:
At least five years of experience in a consulting or advisory role, with a proven track record of preparing and presenting high-quality analytical reports to senior and C-suite level clients.
Demonstrable experience in building and managing financial and economic models, including advanced spreadsheet-based modelling.
Significant experience preparing government-side business cases to justify investment decisions, ideally with working knowledge of the Irish Public Spending Code.
An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in economics, finance, business, or a related field of study.
A talent for critical thinking and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a diverse and inclusive team.
