The role is critical in working with the Group Head of Finance Programmes in supporting finance business services owners in delivering as part of an experienced team, strategic finance change projects that impact finance systems, processes and ways of working across Finance Business Services and the wider business.

The Opportunity 

 

As a Finance Systems and Business Process Analyst, you’ll join a skilled transformation team within the Finance PMO office. You’ll support global finance systems and process projects, working closely with project managers and specialists to deliver key activities like process mapping, data analysis, reporting, and workshop facilitation. 

 

Your role will help drive the finance change programme, contributing to documentation, training support, and the development of materials for project boards. You’ll play a hands-on part in shaping efficient, scalable solutions across Arup’s finance operations. 

 

Is the role right for you? 

 

We’re looking for a finance business analyst who can turn complex requirements into clear solutions. You’ll need a strong grasp of finance systems, data structures, and process flows, and the ability to present insights effectively. 

 

You’ll work with subject matter experts to run workshops, define success metrics, and support feasibility analysis. You’ll also help with user acceptance testing, system improvements, and process optimisation. 

This role involves supporting change initiatives like software upgrades and process re-engineering, while managing RAID documentation and project risks. If you bring innovative thinking and a collaborative mindset, you’ll thrive here. 

 

Responsibilities 

We’re looking for people who: 

  • Have experience delivering in a financial environment complex analysis, process maps and problem solving. 

  • Have a strong knowledge of finance business processes and systems, together with expertise of business analysis to produce, analyse and document requirements as well as identify risks and inter-dependencies of internal systems. 

  • Competent in mapping processes from Levels 1 to level 4 and validating with business process owners and have experience with workflow analysis and process modelling. 

  • Have deep knowledge and experience in interpreting transactional data relating to finance process flows, providing supporting analytics for business case development, mapping and tracking data flows in complex systems environments. 

  • Strong awareness of change management requirements including working closely with business process owners and other stakeholders to create training manuals and other communications and reporting materials. 

  • Applies expert knowledge of Business Analysis principles and requirements gathering for the development and design of multiple components or activities relating to internal processes and systems.
