Fire Engineer

As a Fire Engineer, you will continue to develop and apply your fire engineering expertise to deliver high-quality consultancy services across a diverse range of projects and sectors. You will contribute to the development of innovative fire safety solutions while building your knowledge in areas such as fire dynamics, smoke control, human behaviour, and evacuation modelling.
The Opportunity
· Contribute to the planning, design, and assessment of fire protection systems for buildings and industrial facilities
· Develop and support fire safety strategies, emergency response planning, fire risk assessments, and compliance reviews
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate effective fire protection measures into project designs
· Undertake fire engineering analysis using tools such as Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and evacuation modelling software, while preparing clear and structured technical reports
· Support project delivery through construction inspections, stakeholder communication, quality assurance activities, and identifying opportunities for additional work

Is this role right for you?
· A recognised Engineering degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in fire engineering
· Ability to develop practical fire strategies and recommend solutions to technical challenges based on sound fire engineering principles
· Experience with fire engineering software including Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), evacuation modelling tools, and basic proficiency in Rhino, Revit, and/or AutoCAD
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a range of stakeholders
· Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
