The Opportunity

The role of the Global Mobility Assistant spans strategic and operational activities.

Reporting to Global Mobility Operations Leader and working in partnership with colleagues, the Global Mobility Assistant will help to deliver mobility services, priorities and transformation initiatives in line with the Global Mobility strategy

Collaboration with the wider Global Mobility team, other subject matter experts and vendors will feature prominently as we drive operational excellence. 

Broader opportunities to engage and partner with a diverse range of stakeholders arise in conjunction with specific strategic and operational mobility project work.

The role is a key component of a global team of trusted and respected mobility specialists that provides consultancy, direction and leadership for Global Mobility at Arup.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for regional mobility teams, providing expert advice on Global Mobility policies and processes, and supporting key cyclical events like salary and FX reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance standardisation, simplify operations, and elevate the employee relocation experience through thoughtful initiatives and collaboration.
  • Support the Global Mobility Manager in vendor management activities, including overseeing services related to relocation, immigration, tax, and healthcare, and ensuring timely invoice processing and compliance.
  • Own the communications agenda by producing compelling content for internal and external audiences, including leadership presentations, intranet updates, and project materials.
  • Provide essential operational and administrative support across the mobility lifecycle—from preparing cost estimates and key documents, to coordinating onboarding and managing team logistics.
