The Opportunity
In this role, your primary focus will be the development, delivery and coordination of a global supply chain risk and sustainability program and team to ensure we work with the right partners, in the right way, to our values (Our values - Arup) and the expectations of our clients.
Your area of responsibility and oversight will include business integrity, regulatory, ESG, supplier diversity, risk identification and mitigation, amongst others. You will use your experiences and skills to ensure we have excellence and flexibility in our comprehensive approach. You will combine a global-standards foundation with, by working closely with colleagues across our geographies, the appropriate adaptations, and enhancements as require to meet the local requirements, legislation and expectations. You will work closely with our systems team in operationalising processes.
You will be recognized as an expert in procurement risk and assurance, have a strong dedication to sustainability in supply chains, able to build strong relationships and deliver for the greater benefit of Arup, our members and our stakeholders. Central to our procurement strategy, and your work, will be sustainable development, decarbonisation, and our values as an organization. You will report to the Chief Procurement and as part of the procurement leadership team, work closely alongside other leaders in the group, to embed a strong risk controls approach to our work.
Your Focus and Impact -
Lead and develop a high-performing, regionally distributed team while shaping critical policies and protocols to manage risks and embed controls across operations. You'll standardize processes, enhance data quality, and coordinate global compliance priorities with agility and foresight, building a forward-looking roadmap to address emerging supply chain trends.
Collaborating across functions, ensuring robust procurement systems, and delivering pragmatic risk management solutions, you'll strengthen relationships, deliver impactful results, and establish our procurement function as a responsive and valued partner. With a focus on high-quality data, controls, and effective stakeholder engagement, your contributions will embed a culture of excellence and assurance across the organization.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for people who;
- Have significant experience of supply chain compliance requirements, such as ESG, health & safety, business integrity, information security data privacy, health and safety etc. in a global/multi-regional environment, as part of or connected to a procurement or supply chain function.
- Can design efficient and effective approaches to excellence in supply chain risk management and assurance – information sources, data quality, robust audit chains etc.
- Have delivered change and improvement initiatives in complex environments involving diverse stakeholders.
- Have knowledge of Procurement systems and platforms operating on a multi-regional or multiple business unit basis, and the crucial role they play in supporting a vendor risk program
- Hold a BSc and a range of professional qualifications will be considered for the role.
