The Learning Consultant reports to the Senior Learning Partner and is an integral part of the Talent, Leadership & Learning Team (CoE). Our globally integrated team operates within a matrix organisation spanning five regions, our other global functions, and over 30 countries to deliver integrated talent and learning initiatives that empower and inspire our members.
The Opportunity
The primary focus of this role will be the application of leadership learning locally, using great consulting practice and organisation development approaches to deliver local interventions that embed great learning and improved leadership capability. This role involves building learning communities, consulting with stakeholders, experimenting with innovative methodologies, and contributing to global projects to enhance leadership practices across the firm. Learning consultants take pride in the privilege of seeing people grow, develop and create enabling environments for those working with them. They will be driven by seeing tangible progress, shifts in individuals and teams and seeing the impact that great learning can have on a business.
As a Learning Consultant at Arup, you will:
- 80% of this role will be focused on the application of globally prioritised learning, delivering timely interventions locally, appropriate to where members are in their leadership learning process. Working on the ground with individuals and teams.
- 20% of this role will be focused on contributing to other global projects within the CoE – to ensure the quality and scale of great leadership learning across the firm.
- Focus on leadership capability by identifying local hotspots, and collaborating with leaders to create an environment that enables successful learning applications.
- Build and facilitate communities of learners, fostering ongoing conversations to share learning and its impact while anticipating future needs.
- Consult with key stakeholders to diagnose business needs, deliver learning interventions, and experiment with innovative learning theories to improve methodologies and share insights with fellow consultants.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about personal integrity with commitment and alignment to Arup's values and aims. We also value:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Learning and Development or related social sciences field; Advanced degree a plus. HR or Learning professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience, in learning, organizational development or related role.
- Role modelling continuous development, investing in personal and professional development to benefit your own practice and that of fellow learning colleagues.
- Experience in delivering impactful leadership learning experiences that bridge the knowing-doing gap, while effectively managing stakeholders, balancing priorities, and applying a global mindset to design, iterate, and share work with pride.
- Self-sufficient in tech learning methodologies with a strong desire to innovate, take a coaching approach to enable transformation in others, and has a proven track record of driving collaboration and delivering high-quality results on time.
- Able to support decision-making through data analysis, presentation, and storytelling.
- Being self-motivated, growth-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement, with a curious, adaptable, and courageous approach.
