The opportunity

 

  • This is a full-time, six-month internship (Pasantía) running during the 2nd semester, from July 2025 to January 2026
  • Design and analysis of decarbonized energy systems in projects ranging from supply-side renewable generation to demand-side infrastructure and building control and efficiency, including onshore/offshore wind power plant, PV Solar plants, green hydrogen production, Biomass, among others. 
  • Design and analysis of energy storage systems, including green hydrogen production and storage, Battery Energy Storage System BESS, among others.  
  • Technical analysis of energy systems and electrical transmission & distribution infrastructure.
  • Financial and commercial analysis of energy systems  
  • Participation in technical and commercial due diligence reviews of infrastructure assets for lenders and mergers and acquisitions.   
  • Analyze risks including cost, schedule, design, contracts, permitting and environmental and social impact  
  • Interact with other consultants, internally and externally, for business planning, financial advisory, and due diligence assignments  
  • Conduct market research across different infrastructure sectors and present findings to leadership.

  • Pursuing their bachelor’s degree (Pregrado) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline  
  • Advanced proficiency (verbal and written, B2 or above) in English
  • Knowledge of basic business and operational concepts  
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working  
  • Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at all levels  
  • Analytical mindset and/or Strategic thinker  
  • Submit your resume in English.
  • Scripting/Programming (Python, C++, or other) proficiency preferred
  • Proficiency in PV systems (i.e. PVSyst or others) preferred.
  • Minor in Economics, Public Policy or Business preferred
  • Working understanding of project development process and project finance preferred
  • Interest in renewable energy and decarbonization preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in Colombia without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
  • Candidates must be enrolled at one of the following universities to be considered, as we currently have agreements in place with these universities: Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Nacional de Colombia - Sede Bogota, Universidad del Rosario, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Central, Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, Universidad de la Sabana, Universidad El Bosque, Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas.
