As a Mechanical Engineer in the MEP team, you will play a key role in the technical and project management of Mechanical Services, contributing to the delivery of high-quality projects. You will also be involved in the strategic development of the MEP business and contribute to business development efforts to maintain a strong pipeline of projects. Your expertise will be essential in managing and growing the team, ensuring successful project outcomes, and promoting the business. This role is based in our Johor Bahru office.
The Opportunity
• Provide hands-on concept and detailed mechanical design for various projects, including data centers
• Produce design calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
• Manage small project teams, monitor project progress, and deliver quality work within agreed timeframes.
• Coordinate work with engineers from other disciplines and maintain strong relationships with clients and other industry professionals.
• Support the business development efforts, assisting in the promotion and procurement of new projects.

Is this role right for you?
• A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong experience in data center design and a good understanding of local and international regulations.
• Membership (or significant progress toward membership) in relevant professional institutions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with the ability to work independently and lead teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage workloads effectively and contribute to team success under pressure.
