The Opportunity

The Finance Business Services PMO supports a global change program across Finance Business Services which in turn supports the wider Global Finance strategy.

The PMO Finance Systems Analyst role is critical in working with the Group Head of Finance Programmes in supporting finance business services owners in delivering as part of an experienced team, strategic finance change projects that impact finance systems, processes and ways of working across Finance Business Services and the wider business.

You will work closely with Project Managers and transformation specialists in delivering critical activities that contribute to the successful execution of the finance change program e.g. process mapping, data analysis, modelling, reporting, communications including development of materials for project boards, training support, documenting and mapping processes and facilitating project related workshops.

As the PMO Finance Systems Analyst, you will be part of an experienced project management and transformation team reporting into the Finance PMO office.

The role will be responsible in supporting Finance Business Services in the delivery of global finance systems and process related projects on a day-to-day basis including:

 

  • Responsible for gathering complex business requirements, driving the translation of these into functional and technical requirements with application delivery teams and business stakeholders.

     

 

  • Interpret, work with and present data, with a comprehensive understanding of finance processes, finance systems, including data completeness, validations, and mapping.

 

  • To work with subject matter experts and Project Managers, facilitating workshops to understand and prioritise requirements, documenting outputs and progressing them with relevant stakeholders.

 

  • Ensure clarity on agreed functional and non-functional requirements, including working with the project management team to prioritise activities.

 

  • Work with project managers in supporting business owners in developing business cases and feasibility analysis to scope projects.

 

  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively facilitate meetings and/or contribute to project discussions and establishes metrics for measuring assigned key project deliverables.

 

  • Partner with the delivery teams to document finance process flows, finance system environments and user interface requirements.

 

  • Support Project Managers in defining user acceptance testing criteria and support the execution and tracking of user testing as required.

 

  • Contribute to the generation of ideas and solutions to improve overall system/process design and/or streamline delivery of process/systems.

 

  • Participate in and support change projects such as business process re-engineering for system customisations and software upgrades.

 

  • Work with business owners as required to correct poorly structured or inaccurate data flows and related processes.

 

  • Contribute where needed to assess and report on budget .v. actual performance.

 

  • Record and maintain all aspects of RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies).

 

 

Is this role right for you?

We seek finance professionals with the following must-have experience:

  • Experienced delivering in a financial environment complex analysis, process maps and problem solving.

 

  • You will have a strong knowledge of finance business processes and systems, together with expertise of business analysis to produce, analyse and document requirements as well as identify risks and inter-dependencies of internal systems.

 

  • Competent in mapping processes from Levels 1 to level 4 and validating with business process owners.

 

  • Experience with workflow analysis and process modelling.

 

  • Deep knowledge and experience in interpreting transactional data relating to finance process flows, providing supporting analytics for business case development, mapping and tracking data flows in complex systems environments.

 

  • Strong awareness of change management requirements including working closely with business process owners and other stakeholders to create training manuals and other communications and reporting materials.

 

  • Applies expert knowledge of Business Analysis principles and requirements gathering for the development and design of multiple components or activities relating to internal processes and systems.

 

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening), organisation skills, with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities.
