We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to act as Arup’s primary site representative on a major earthworks and infrastructure project in Rayong. The successful candidate will oversee earthworks, geotechnical activities, QA/QC compliance, and site coordination in accordance with the Client’s scope of work, approved drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements.

This is a 18-month contract role.

The Opportunity

  • Supervise earthworks, embankments, grading, and drainage works
  • Verify subgrade preparation, compaction, surveys, and geometry
  • Enforce QA/QC requirements and review geotechnical test results
  • Review RFIs, shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs
  • Prepare daily logs and weekly progress reports
  • Coordinate with contractors, laboratories, surveyors, and client teams
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance on site

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • 7–10 years’ experience in earthworks or large infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical works, compaction, QA/QC, and surveying
  • Confident site leadership and clear English communication skills
