Join Arup's dynamic Aviation Planning team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of airport infrastructure and planning across NSW and the Australasian region. As a Senior Aviation Planner, you’ll contribute to the planning and design of key projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create innovative solutions for future aviation. The Opportunity
· Lead the development of forecast demand and schedule analysis for airport planning studies.
· Conduct capacity/demand assessments using various tools, including the IATA Airport Development Reference Manual and local standards.
· Develop terminal and airfield spatial requirements, and create phased development plans for infrastructure and facilities.
· Generate terminal planning concepts and work with passenger flow simulation modelling to assess and improve designs.
· Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate complex planning ideas to a wide range of stakeholders.

Is this role right for you?
· At least 7 years of aviation planning experience with a degree in airport planning, transport planning, architecture, or a related discipline.
· Experience in aviation planning within a consulting environment or with an airport operator or airline.
· Strong expertise in capacity and demand assessments, terminal planning, and feasibility-level design concepts.
· Skilled in passenger flow simulation modelling and the ability to interpret and apply results.
· Exceptional communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
