The Opportunity

The successful candidate will participate in a diverse and challenging range of projects across different sectors (with a main focus on Science and Industry). Our global and local teams continue to lead the market in terms of our focus and continued innovation around sustainability (net-zero, embodied carbon, circular economy) and digital (smart, BIM).
As a Senior BIM Technician at Arup, your role will:
Produce 3D models using AutoCAD Revit and other BIM.
Manage the structural Revit model and ensure the model is delivered to project BIM requirements, updating standard settings and creating families when necessary.
Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals.
Adhere to project timelines and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines
Take responsibility for checking own work and that produced by others, including external consultants, sub-consultants and contractorsControl, issue and update all drawings and documentation in accordance with the Arup Quality Management System
Troubleshoot technical BIM problems that arise in a rapidly changing digital coordination environment
Mentor and guide junior staff during their early stages of their technical development.

We're looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient individual with a passion for sustainable building design. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:
Minimum of 8 years’ experience.
Experience preparing detailed design information from an engineering consultancy
Qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering or BIM & Information Management (NFQ Level 6 or above)
BIM professional certificates / training courses from technical institutes / software companies
Ability to use Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
We also value:
Knowledge of Navisworks, clash detections and construction sequencing.
Ability to use CADS RC or 3D RC detail in Revit.
Knowledge of Civil 3D and Navisworks.
Programming skills using Python, Dynamo or Rhino.Inside.Revit.
Knowledge of BIM processes for information management to BS/PAS1192 and ISO19650-1/2.
