Senior Civil/Water Resource Engineer

The primary focus of the role is to deliver hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, and other water-related engineering services. Support infrastructure (highways, railways, bridges), master planning/site development, and environmental projects in Arup Indonesia and regional offices.
The Opportunity:
- Lead delivery of complex projects and technical activities.
- Plan and forecast resources and project requirements.
- Contribute to business strategy and development plans.
- Undertake hydrological & hydraulic modelling for:
- Water resources planning
- Flood forecasting & management
- Drought management
- Stormwater drainage
- Water quality
- Climate resilience
- Lead modelling tasks including:
- Rainfall-runoff analysis
- Groundwater interaction analysis
- Manage team performance, including training, mentoring, and direction.
- Support budgeting, financial control, and contract negotiation.
- Prepare project cost estimates (materials, labour, overhead).

Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage.
- Professional certification / progressing to chartered status.
- Familiar with Indonesian and international design codes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Resilient under pressure and high workload.
