Senior Consultant / Manager - Infrastructure Financial Modeller | Investor Advisory

With a mandate to grow its Investor Advisory team and capabilities, Arup requires a motivated individual with proven financial advisory experience gained on major infrastructure projects. The purpose of this role is to support the financial and Public Private Partnership (PPP) advisory offering across the Australasia region, based in Melbourne.
This is a high impact role that will help shape the future of Arup’s Advisory business and will include client engagement, work winning, project delivery, training and mentoring and technical advice. You will provide focus, continuity and technical guidance across business case and economics advisory projects across various infrastructure subsectors.
The Opportunity
- You will take primary responsibility for building, running, and/or reviewing the integrity of financial models for major infrastructure projects across Australasia
- You will undertake financial analysis of projects, often using financial models prepared by you or others in the IA team, to determine a project’s operational, financial and commercial viability, or to determine a resultant funding gap.
- You will provide financial, commercial and procurement / PPP structuring advice on major infrastructure projects
- You will build and maintain trust with clients through consistent, reliable support and by providing strategic insights.
- Working without continual direct support, but seeking guidance when necessary, this role is responsible for managing financial advisory engagements and leading project teams.
- Responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction, and feedback.
Is this role right for you?
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, commerce, or similar area
- Extensive expertise in financial modelling and analysis, including experience with complex project finance models.
- Experience in preparing government-side business case documents to facilitate budgetary appropriations.
- Familiarity with PPP and supporting project finance arrangements, including key credit metrics associated with well-structured transactions.
- Proven ability to grasp business dynamics, making informed decisions to drive growth and success by integrating market insights.
- Ability to communicate clearly and adapt interpersonal style to connect with diverse stakeholders, fostering open dialogue and collaboration
