The Opportunity

This role focuses on providing electrical consulting engineering services to clients in Thailand and the wider Southeast Asia region. You will be a senior member of the MEP team, playing a leadership role in both business development and project delivery for Science, Industry, and Technology (SIT), particularly in the Data Centre sector.

Business Development & Project Inception:

·       Support the promotion of Arup’s SIT services in local and regional markets

·       Engage with both local and international clients to build a strong project pipeline

·       Contribute to the strategic positioning of the SIT business in Thailand and in the region

·       Assist in preparing business plans

Technical/Project Management:

·       Manage the technical aspects of projects, with a focus on electrical services

·       Ensure high-quality project delivery and continuous improvement of team capabilities

Managerial Responsibilities:

·      Contribute to the strategic growth of MEP disciplines.

·      Lead skill development and procedural enhancements within the team.

Your role - In collaboration with the MEP leadership team:

·       Develop leads and secure SIT/Data Centre projects in Thailand

·       Lead the delivery of projects across SIT markets in Thailand and the wider SEA region

·       Design resilient, sustainable electrical engineering solutions

·       Perform and review detailed electrical design calculations at various design stages

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, agencies, partners, and contractors

·       Support the Thailand Country Leader in strengthening the MEP team capabilities to serve target markets

·       Contribute to proposal preparation and support contract negotiations

·       Manage project risks through effective planning and project management practices

·       Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the expected quality standards

·       Develop and implement project monitoring, reporting and quality control systems

·       Oversee and coordinate design processes, ensuring alignment with technical standards and best practices

·       Conduct technical reviews to ensure high-quality, efficient, and client-focused MEP project delivery

·       Collaborate with team leaders across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region

·       Engage in office-wide, regional, and global Arup initiatives

·       Support and actively contribute to the implementation of Arup’s global vision and strategy

Is this role right for you?

·       Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering within the built environment, with a focus on science, industry, and data centre sectors

·       Proven track record of leading teams in the design and delivery of large-scale, complex projects

·       Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) with the Council of Engineers Thailand

·       Recognized professional with relevant industry memberships and accreditations

·       Strong background in consulting environments with design and project management experience

·       In-depth knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

·       Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills

·       Strategic mindset with innovative planning capability

·       High professional standards and attention to detail

·       Customer-focused with the ability to resolve issues effectively

·       Resilient and calm under pressure

·       Commercially aware and results-oriented
