The Opportunity

You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams particularly in the data centre sector to deliver high‑quality engineering design services, taking a leading role in building services elements through calculations, drawings, reports, tender documents, and feasibility studies. You’ll design or survey new‑build and refurbishment projects, support internal project management of small to medium jobs, and operate with significant autonomy while reporting to project leadership. Your responsibilities include planning deliverables with senior engineers, interpreting client briefs, coordinating with architects and other professionals, developing innovative design concepts, guiding BIM and engineering staff, mentoring graduates, managing technicians, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external collaborators, alongside conducting site visits and inspections.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for individuals who:

• Hold a first or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or other recognized qualification within the construction industry
• Are professionally qualified (chartered) and/or aspiring to register.
• Have 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience. Datacenter, hospital, or laboratory sector experience would be an advantage.
• Are experienced in designing in BIM/Revit experience would be an advantage as would use of other digital tools or programming skills)
• Are able to demonstrate innovative design ability, engineering skills, and knowledge
