The Opportunity
This is your chance to support our environment local team in Madrid, as well as contributing to the successful delivery of projects across Europe.
As a Senior Environmental Planner at Arup, you will:
- Participate in the processing of the environmental permitting and due diligence in Spain.
- Prepare documentation for environmental planning and permitting (SEA, EIA, IEA,).
- Support environmental project’s strategy definition.
- Provide environmental inputs to design projects.
- Support the business leaders to secure a strong pipeline of work in Spain.
Does this role inspire you?
We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic with a great interest in growing and developing their career in the environmental consulting field. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Forest Engineering, Ecology or equivalent qualification.
- 6-10 years of experience in the Spanish environmental planning and permitting regulatory framework, requirements and stakeholders, private and public.
- Experience in the development and processing of environmental permitting procedures: Environmental Authorisation (Autorización Ambiental Integrada): Strategic Environmental assessment (Evaluación Ambiental Estratégica - EAE) and Environmental Impact assessment (Estudios de Impacto Ambiental - EIA) and) of projects in Spain.
- A Collaborative and team-player approach for working closely with our urban planning, design and engineering colleagues.
- Fluent written and spoken skills in English and Spanish
