We are looking for a Senior Consulting Engineer to join our team at Arup Malaysia, providing expert engineering services to our clients and supporting the growth of less experienced engineers within the group. This role will involve managing significant projects, offering technical guidance, and playing a key part in Arup's strategic development. 

The Opportunity 

•    Lead and manage the delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
•    Coordinate project activities, track progress, and resolve challenges, ensuring alignment with overarching project goals.
•    Represent Arup in internal and external meetings, fostering positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
•    Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their development and encouraging a culture of excellence.
•    Develop and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and ensure precise financial planning for optimal project performance.

Is this role right for you? 

•    A recognized tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
•    A minimum of 10 years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering with a proven track record in large infrastructure projects.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and awareness of digital tools like GIS, Leapfrog, and scripting software (e.g., Python).
•    Strong project management and technical analysis skills with the ability to independently handle projects and report results.
•    A collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor, inspire, and lead diverse teams.
