The Opportunity

Arup is seeking a Senior Programmer / Scheduler based in the Dubai office with frequent regional and global travel, as required. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leadership teams on major projects in the Middle East to get our major projects set up for success.  The role will cover major projects in several sectors including our Property, Transport and Infrastructure teams and help support the planned growth of the Middle East business.

 You will be accountable for setup of and maintenance of project programmes across assigned Middle East projects or programme of works.  This will include working with the project manager to establish work breakdown structures, programme management frameworks and strategies. Preparation of Trackers / Logs to monitor critical activities and milestones during the Design and Construction stages of the Project. Lead coordination with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and internal teams on all programme related matters. Provide leadership, mentorship, and line management to Interns, Graduates and junior staff.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for the following skills.

·       Degree in construction / civil or other engineering, business management or related fields.

·       Experience of programme development and management.

·       Proficient in the use of P6, Microsoft Project and other programme management solutions.

·       Comfortable supporting projects in the Property, Transport and Infrastructure sectors and working with diverse teams and disciplines on projects.

·       Ability to be based in the Middle East and be available to support Dubai and Middle East projects.
