Join our Programme and Project Management team in Cork that specializes in providing exceptional consultancy services by applying Arup PPM methodology, sustainable development, and digital transformation at its heart, to a wide array of clients, including high-profile technology and medical sector companies, as well as esteemed public sector clients and contribute to impactful projects across Ireland and Europe. As a Senior Project Manager at Arup, you will: 

 

  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of commissions, managing the performance of the project team consisting of both internal and external project team resources, in full compliance with Arup Management System (AMS) requirements. 
  • Manage delivery of projects ensuring that schedule, cost and quality expectations are met, project related risks are managed 
  • Manage stakeholders and the client expectations and relationship. 
  • Deliver work to a high standard of client satisfaction and profitably for Arup. 
  • Mentor and support PPM staff. 
  • Prospect for new work, identify opportunities with current and new clients, developing client relationships and leading major bids. 
  • Develop new service offerings.
  • Win new work and clients.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for project management and a commitment to sustainable development. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position: 

 

  • Minimum of a first degree and chartered qualification in architecture, engineering, construction, project management or related field  
  • Project management experience that includes administration of contracts and leading teams on design and/or construction of building and/or infrastructure programmes/projects. 
  • 8+ years of experience. 

 

We also value: 

  • International project management qualification, such as IPMA, APM PQ, or equivalent. 
  • Experience on site construction supervision or management experience will be an advantage. 
  • Experience in client-facing roles to deliver project management services. 
  • Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and experience 
  • Having basic knowledge of Sustainability Development Goals and their impact in organisations and projects such as carbon footprint, community wellbeing, etc.
