We are currently looking for a Senior Scheduler to join our multi-disciplinary New York City office.

The opportunity

  • Deliver large scale projects through active schedule development and management internally for Arup and externally direct with clients.
  • Contribute to successful business development outcomes through delivery of proposal schedules and narratives.
  • Take a leading role in the development of the scheduling abilities as an internal and external service offering.

Is this role right for you?

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant construction management, project management, or engineering discipline is required.
  • 8 plus years of scheduling experience across a variety of horizontal and vertical project types.
  • Professional certification such as a Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain within a year.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining master project schedules.
  • Experience with project controls techniques, including critical path analysis, earned value management and time-impact.
  • Experience working for contractors or consultants as a scheduler.
  • Ability to analyze contractor schedules, assist site teams in monitoring construction progress and produce written reports
  • Ability to perform Time Impact Analyses
  • Desire to grow into leading a specialist scheduling skill area within our Americas business
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills with internal team members and clients at all levels.
  • Occasional travel to client or project sites, as needed.

Desired skills:

  • Alternative project delivery experience like P3 or Design Build
  • Experience with cost loaded and resource loaded schedules
  • Understanding of the Monte Carlo method and familiarity with risk analysis software (i.e., @risk and Primavera Risk Analyzer).
  • Familiarity with 4d modeling techniques and software, (i.e., Navisworks, 3D modeling)
  • Experience with data analysis and dashboard reporting, ability to code in VBA preferable.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.

Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is $131,500 to $164,400 / per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York City will differ.
