Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Krakow, or Madrid

Shape a future with purpose at Arup in our Poland, or Spain offices.

Connect world-class talent to projects that shape a better world.

Arup's purpose, shared values, and collaborative approach have set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world. Our Global Talent Acquisition and Mobility team is at the heart of this mission, connecting exceptional talent with meaningful opportunities across Arup. We are the guardians of Arup's distinctive culture, working collaboratively across the firm to strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice and bring in the diverse minds we need to solve the world's most complex challenges.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to move beyond transactional recruitment and make a significant strategic impact. You will take the lead on recruiting for some of our most critical and high-profile projects across the UK, India and EMEA, shaping the teams that deliver Arup's most innovative work.

You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, acting as a deputy for the UKIMEA Talent Acquisition Operations Lead, and mentoring other team members. We will give you the 'permission to pioneer' and improve our function, empowering you to drive process improvements, champion best practices, and contribute directly to our operational excellence and the delivery of an exceptional candidate experience.

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Arup, you will:

Lead the end-to-end recruitment cycle for project-critical roles, from initial briefing and strategy development through to successful onboarding.

·       Develop and implement sophisticated sourcing strategies for confidential, complex, or specialist positions, utilising direct sourcing, market intelligence, and talent mapping.

·       Act as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders and hiring managers, providing data-informed guidance on recruitment strategies, market conditions, and talent availability.

·       Champion and deliver an exceptional, candidate-centric recruitment experience that reflects Arup's values of respect, inclusivity, and technical excellence.

Drive continuous improvement in our recruitment processes, leveraging our Applicant Tracking System (Taleo), reporting and analytics to enhance performance and efficiency.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about strategic talent sourcing and connecting exceptional people to projects with genuine social usefulness. We also value:

  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment in-house and agency, successfully hiring for high-profile, niche, or strategic roles, ideally within the built environment, engineering, or consulting sectors.
  • Demonstrable skill in proactive talent sourcing, market mapping, and engaging passive candidates through multiple channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and data analytics skills to align talent acquisition strategy directly with business objectives.
  • A genuine passion for and commitment to sustainability, equity, and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
