We are seeking an experienced Southeast Asia Energy Storage Lead to drive the strategic growth, technical excellence, and successful delivery of energy storage projects across Singapore and Southeast Asia. This is a senior leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with strong business development capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and lead multidisciplinary teams.

The Opportunity 
(What will I do?) 

  • Lead the delivery of energy storage projects across Southeast Asia, spanning development, construction, and operations/maintenance phases. 
     
  • Provide technical leadership and be accountable for the quality of energy storage deliverables in the region. 
     
  • Guide junior and mid level engineers in preparing feasibility studies, design basis documentation, specifications, and functional requirements. 
     
  • Manage and deliver technical due diligence assignments, including transactions support and Lenders’ Technical Advisory roles. 
     
  • Lead and contribute to major bids in collaboration with Local and Geography Business Leaders. 
     
  • Build strong client, partner, and supplier relationships across Southeast Asia to grow revenue and strengthen market positioning. 
     
  • Drive repeat business by delivering innovative, client centred solutions.
     
  • Work closely with Energy, Water & Resources (EWR), and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated multi disciplinary services.


Is this role right for you?
(What will I bring?)  

  • Chartered Engineer (e.g., CPEng, CEng) with a degree in Engineering or related discipline. 
     
  • 10+ years of experience in the energy sector with substantial exposure to utility scale energy storage systems (battery, flow, or other technologies). 
     
  • Demonstrated experience in energy modelling tools (e.g., HomerPro) and programming/scripting for energy system analysis. 
     
  • Proven experience in delivering large scale energy storage or broader energy infrastructure projects within consultancy, OEM, or development environments. 
     
  • Extensive experience in business development, including tender preparation (technical & commercial), contract negotiation, and client relationship management. 
     
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex, long term assignments. 
     
  • Familiarity with Southeast Asian technical standards, markets and permitting processes.
