The Opportunity
As a Stakeholder Liaison Support at Arup, you will:
Assume responsibility for supporting the Stakeholder Relations Manager in building relationships, and overseeing the management of the Stakeholder group.
Assist in overseeing communications with the stakeholder group throughout the delivery of the scheme under their remit in line with the any stakeholder management strategy (including processes, procedures, controls, systems and reporting)
Act as the main point of contact for all stakeholder queries and will ensure that consistent messaging is delivered to stakeholder, both in internal and external, particularly around the impact of upcoming developments and disruptions.
Be required to support in overseeing the Design and Build Contractors in their stakeholder management of the Schemes under their management.
Does this role inspire you?
Experience
Required to have 3+ years’ experience in stakeholder management and a proven track record of
conducting stakeholder management activities in high value road and / or infrastructure projects
or projects of a similar scale and complexity to CBCIW.
Further demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following is desirable:
Reviewing / updating stakeholder management strategies (including processes, procedures, controls, systems and reporting) to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Reviewing / updating communications strategy designed to ensure efficient, coordinated and transparent communications.
Report to programme / project team and senior governance levels on progress against the stakeholder management strategy.
Web design and content production.
Best practice communication tools and social media channels.
the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural,engineering or construction sectors;
Dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organization influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting; and
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
Skills
It is desirable for the Stakeholder Liaison Support to possess the following skills:
Fully proficient in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service delivery.
Ability to deal with and resolve unforeseen risks and issues.
Ability to step back from the detail and take a holistic overview.
Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and deliver consistent service.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to manage client expectations and deliver within agreed parameters; and
Ability to work in a challenging environment both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Formal Education Qualifications
Required to have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area e.g. public relations or business.
