We are a growing, dynamic office of 80 staff, with a mix of Danish and international talents, and our office is located in Axel Towers in the heart of Copenhagen centre. 

 

The Opportunity

A career at Arup offers you the chance to make a positive difference in the world. You will have an active role in all phases of our multi-disciplinary projects, with both commercial and public sector clients from Denmark and international.  

 

As a Structural Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Deliver engineering services on a wide range and types of projects covering new-build and transformation, including all design phases, permitting processes and the opportunity to do site inspections when possible.  

  • Have an active role in internal/external coordination through most phases of multidisciplinary projects, ensuring that our deliverables are high quality. 

  • Support other teams.

  • Review and self-check of own work and prepare review packages for internal/external quality assurance.

We're looking for someone who is a team player and enjoys working in a vibrant international environment on high profile projects. We also value:

  • Engineering Degree. 

  • 3 years of experience working as a structural engineer.

  • Experience in design of concrete and steel structures.

  • Experience in structural design and detailing of connections.

  • Knowledge about parametric design for modelling and performing structural analysis of complex geometries. 

  • Knowledge about Building Information Modelling (BIM).  

  • Skills in 3D modelling using Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD and/or similar. 

  • General experience in working on building projects, such as given structural input for architectural competition, writing specification for your discipline and preparing structural documentation.

  • Experience with BR18 and preparing structural documentation fulfilling BR18 requirements would be an advantage.

  • Experience with designing timber structures would be an advantage. 

  • Fluency in Danish is preferred and fluency in English is a requirement.
