The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer student who is eager to contribute as part of a driven team dedicated to shaping a better world. You will join the Building Structures team Denmark, a dynamic group of five engineers, a mix of Danish and international, and our team is part of the Building Design and Advisory Practice.
At Arup, you will benefit from extensive opportunities for learning and professional growth while working on innovative and sustainable engineering projects. You will contribute to every stage of our multidisciplinary assignments for both private and public clients in Denmark and internationally.
As a Structural Engineer Student at Arup, you will:
Support the delivery of engineering services on a diverse range of projects, including new-builds and transformations, by assisting throughout design phases, participating in permitting processes, and, where possible, joining site inspections alongside senior engineers.
Play an active part in internal and external coordination during various stages of multidisciplinary projects, contributing to the production of high-quality deliverables under the guidance of experienced team members.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines, such as the Underground Structure Team and Business Development Team, to gain exposure to integrated project work and broaden your professional experience.
Support modelling and analysis, production of designs and design calculations, and reporting of complex engineering problems, and challenge the results to optimise a solution.
Help shape our implementation of our digital agenda and drive the automation of our design services
Assist in the preparation of specifications, proposals, and other documentation under supervision

We are seeking a student who is genuinely passionate about structural engineering, keen to showcase a real enthusiasm for innovative and sustainable solutions, and motivated to make a positive difference in the built environment. Additionally, we value if:
You are currently enrolled in your last year of bachelor or first year of master’s program, in Structural Engineering.
You have an ambitious digital profile, desirably with a keen interest to learn 3D modelling using Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD and/or similar.
You have good communications skills, verbally and written in English and Danish or any other Scandinavian language.
You have a solution-oriented profile and independent way of working.
Previous experience in the relevant field would be beneficial but not essential.
You are passionate about sustainable development.
