The Opportunity...

Due to significant growth across our Energy portfolio, we have multiple roles open for Electrical Engineers of various levels of expertise. We are looking for Engineers to join our Energy Transmission team situated in South Africa, Johannesburg or Cape Town offices.   Working across the Transmission (up to 765kV). Our teams provide specialist advice and services to internal and external clients. The team is involved in a wide range of transmission projects in the energy, rail, nuclear, building and utilities sectors. These are fantastic long-term opportunities working with our clients in areas such as Solar PV, onshore & offshore wind and interconnectors, utilities, nuclear, data centres and industrial facilities.

Is this role right for you?

·       We are looking for candidates holding BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering or similar.  Preferably you will be professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Your role will involve technical delivery and project management within a team but also working individually on various projects.

·       We are interested in all, or some of the skills and experience listed below, though not every single point is required to be considered.

·       Background in the design and delivery of EHV and HV (765kV-132kV) Substations, Primary or Secondary Plant along with skills in Analysis of these networks for AIS and GIS substations.

·       Client/project management in the capacity of a technical lead on project tasks. 

·       Hands-on knowledge of substation design software such as: CDEGS and others.

·       Ability to conduct lightning protection studies.
