The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate to act as Business Leader for our UK rail systems. The successful candidate will develop and lead our UK Rail Systems team and enhance our influence, impact, capability and service offering to clients, so that we find, win and deliver an increased market share of Rail Systems-led work in the UK. Our UK Rail Systems team includes experts in control, command and signalling; electrification; traction power; track; telecommunications; rolling stock and system engineering.
Is this role right for you?
The role holder will:
- Have experience of and a passion for the development of rail engineering systems teams and service offerings with a significant network of contacts in clients, contractors, partners and the supply chain and evidence of creating optimal delivery teams.
- Be well-respected in the Rail industry with a reputation for delivering outcomes for clients and projects, with a particular strength in Rail Systems
- Be experienced in business development and creation of opportunities where innovative value solutions can be implemented.
- Be able to lead bids and projects, providing technical skill and a deep understanding of the key issues, risks, benefits and opportunities of Rail Systems projects.
- Be experienced in attending and presenting at relevant industry conferences, with capability to provide thought pieces and collateral for social media posts and campaigns.
Have experience of leading and managing team members – including pastoral care and wellbeing so that – so that the Rail Systems team is supported and given focus on development, growth and succession planning.
