We are looking for a West Transportation Marketing Lead to join us in either of our West coast offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Oakland or Seattle and help drives Arup's business growth by showcasing the value and impact of its people and projects, positioning the firm as a leader in the built environment. You will oversee the Transportation Marketing team for the West Geography (CA, OR, WA, CO, etc.), supporting Rail, Aviation, Roads & Streets, and Maritime businesses while aligning with transport planning, sustainability, and resiliency services.

You will work closely with West Geography Transport business leaders and Geography Marketing Leaders, ensuring efficient delivery of marketing and bidding activities aligned with business goals and contributing to the Americas-wide strategy. Responsibilities include resourcing and managing marketing efforts such as proposal delivery, interview preparation, capture planning, client engagement, knowledge management, conference support, communication, data analysis, business development, and planning.

The Opportunity 

·       Proactively connect and coordinate with leaders in Arup’s Transport Portfolio to create a cohesive and consistent approach to our marketing activities and setting short-term and long-term goals

·       Oversee and review proposal, qualifications, interview prep delivered by the wider transportation team

·       Lead prepositioning and oversee bidding for major pursuits for large-scale transport infrastructure projects

·       Work with our technical leaders, guide the development of client-focused win strategies for proposals and statements of qualification to successfully capture work 

·       Guide the development and execution of go/no-go decision-making 

·       Oversee and/or lead pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsal, and help develop and apply established win strategy, themes, and discriminators in presentation materials 

·       Oversee and/or lead capture planning strategy sessions and assist in client and market focused research activities 

·       Oversee the management and maintenance of transport collateral, provide feedback, and actively engage in improving our marketing content, including project sheets, resumes, and other collateral

·       Take ownership of new marketing content such as presentations, brochures, and project examples to support the Transport Portfolio and subsequent businesses.

·       Work with our Americas and global Transport marketing teams to bring the best of our global experience to our local clients

·       Managing of West transport marketing team and mentoring staff among the wider marketing team on work winning activities specific to the Transport Portfolio.  

·       Maintain consistent quality, corporate identity, and graphic standards

 Is this role right for you?

·       Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in English, Communications, Marketing, or Design 

·       Atleast 12 years of experience in the Transport industry

·       Experience with large-scale prime proposals (including DBB, DB, PDB, and P3 bid delivery)

·       Experience developing market-facing capabilities brochures and pitch decks

·       Confident, self-motivated, independent, and proactive

·       Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills

·       Need to have energetic, positive demeanor, with proven track record to juggle/respond to multiple tasks 

·       Experienced in the following computer applications: Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 

·       Experience and knowledge of the transport market in the US, and in the western US states and involvement with local transport organizations

San Francisco Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $145,000 to $173,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.
