The Opportunity

Launch your career in energy consulting and gain hands-on experience working on diverse projects that address critical challenges in the energy transition. From optimizing energy use in iconic buildings to developing decarbonization strategies for entire cities, you'll be contributing to a more sustainable future from day one.

As a Junior Energy Consultant at Arup, you will:

• Support the delivery of consulting services across a range of areas, including decarbonization, energy transition, energy efficiency, and renewable energy integration.
• Contribute to techno-economic studies, energy audits, and feasibility assessments for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams, including Climate and Sustainability specialists, to provide holistic solutions.
• Develop your expertise in energy modeling software and apply it to real-world projects.
• Gain exposure to client interactions and project management, building valuable consulting skills..

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone that can support the delivery of a wide range of projects while helping our clients meet their goals and our own commitments to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Experience or strong interest in energy modeling software.
• A solid understanding of energy efficiency principles and sustainable building practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (C1 level).

Bonus points if you have:

• Master in Sustainability
• International academic or work experience
• Knowledge of building facilities (especially mechanical services/air conditioning)
• Experience in leading projects that involve building sustainability certification assessments (BREEAM, LEED), carbon footprints, building energy audits, carbon management services, climate change assessments, transitions to net-zero energy (embodied or net-zero operational buildings), or related services
