The Opportunity

Act as a key member of multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality building services designs, while supervising junior engineers and CAD staff and ensuring timely delivery within agreed cost constraints. Take a leading role in developing building services elements, including calculations, drawings, tender documentation, feasibility studies, and condition reports. Hold a relevant engineering degree and be progressing toward professional chartership, demonstrating commitment to technical excellence and professional development.
Responsibilities:
Participate in multidisciplinary project teams, taking responsibility for understanding and communicating client requirements to the team while coordinating with co-professionals and stakeholders. Represent the discipline in project meetings, contribute to innovative design development, and present initial concepts through sketches. Oversee the preparation of specifications and drawings, including guiding and supervising engineers and CAD staff. Carry out site inspections and liaison activities, and support the internal management of small to medium-sized projects.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related construction discipline
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards professional registration
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience; data centre, hospital, or laboratory exposure is advantageous
  • Experience in BIM/Revit and familiarity with digital or programming tools (e.g., Python) preferred
  • Demonstrated strong engineering capability with an innovative design approach
  • Ability to build effective team relationships and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills with a proactive mindset
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards professional registration
