With a strong ongoing portfolio for transport planning in NSW, Arup requires an experienced transport engineer to contribute to the delivery of a variety of multi-disciplinary transport, infrastructure and development planning projects.


The Opportunity

You will work within transport planning project teams to support project delivery through undertaking transport analysis, designs and solutions for development and infrastructure projects. This would involve tasks such as undertaking area wide transport demand analysis through to detailed demand and operational assessment for development, road and transport infrastructure projects.

You will support significant and complex projects, lead small-medium sized projects, and will likely be contributing to multiple concurrent projects. This will require you to be responsible for predicting and planning future resourcing.


Is this role right for you?

·      Recognised tertiary qualifications in relevant field such as engineering, transport, town planning, mathematics, economics

·      Minimum of 6 years relevant industry experience in Traffic Engineering or Transport Planning, preferably within a consulting business environment

·      Depth of knowledge of traffic engineering principles

·      Experience with SIDRA Intersection and/or similar modelling packages

·      Road Safety Audit and Traffic Impact Assessment experience would be advantageous

·      Experience in considering all modes in transport assessments including people who walk and ride
