The Opportunity
The NEC4 ECC Assistant Project Supervisor will assume responsibility for providing support to the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in overseeing all construction assurance activities for the Scheme on which they have been deployed, ensuring that works carried out by the Design and Build Contractor are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with established standards, specifications, regulatory requirements and requirements under the various contracts. This may include providing assistance to the NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor in representing the interests of the NTA and will act as an independent body to the NEC4 ECC Project Manager.
The role holder may be required to monitor works carried out by the Design and Build Contractors, witness any testing, check compliance with the scope and ensure that all works are carried out in line with the quality defined in the scope and specifications documents.
As a NEC4 ECC Assistant Supervisor at Arup, you will:
- Required to have 5+ years’ in carrying out construction management / supervision on road / infrastructure projects including reinforced concrete structures. Land survey experience required including setting out.
- Further demonstrated experience and knowledge in delivering engineering solutions and results in dynamic urban environments while ensuring works are compliant with the Works Requirements and Road Specifications is desirable.

Education and Qualifications:
- Required to have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- Safepass accreditation is desirable.
- Chartered / Incorporated / Associate Engineer of a relevant professional body is desirable.
